KlippBoy

Support

Help with KlippBoy, the Klipper client for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What KlippBoy does

KlippBoy connects to 3D printers running Klipper through Moonraker, the same API used by Mainsail and Fluidd. It keeps all your printers connected at once and shows:

Adding a printer

Tap + in the printer list and enter the printer's address, for example voron.local or 192.168.1.50.

No printer at hand? Add the demo printer from the add-printer screen to try every feature with a simulated printer.

Frequently asked questions

The printer shows as offline

Check that your device is on the same network as the printer, that the address and port are right, and that Local Network access is allowed for KlippBoy. If Moonraker uses authorization, add the API key or add your network to trusted_clients.

I don't see the camera

KlippBoy shows the webcams configured in Moonraker ([webcam] sections or the cameras added from Mainsail or Fluidd). MJPEG streams play live; other services fall back to snapshots. The Snapmaker U1 camera is detected automatically. The camera starts paused to save bandwidth: tap Play to watch it.

The Live Activity doesn't update in the background

iOS closes the connection to the printer when KlippBoy is in the background. The Live Activity keeps counting down to the estimated finish time and refreshes with real data the next time you open the app.

Language and appearance

KlippBoy is available in English and Spanish and follows your device language. You can change the language and choose light, dark or system appearance from the settings button in the printer list.
